Patano Studio Architecture worked with Country Village Day School to select an appropriate property for the relocation of their operations on Mercer Island, WA. An existing 1967 wood framed office building was selected and the entire facility was renovated, all new utilities were brought to the site and an addition added to accommodate the program for CVDS. ADA, Universal Design and Life-Safety issues were addressed. 

Patano Studio was the consultant team lead and provided full architectural services as well as additional services for Design Review expedited permitting and Department of Early Learning certification. The 8,000 sf project cost $1.7m and was designed, permitted and constructed in 5 months. The truncated project schedule was the result of Mercer Island School District demolishing the facility that had served as CVDS's home for over 30 years. Meeting the opening date of October 1, 2014 was necessary to keep CVDS in business and to keep MISD on schedule for their new project.
