This landscape was designed for an historic estate overlooking the Hudson River that was undergoing a major renovation.  The original estate landscape had been drastically altered over the years obscuring building relationships. We designed a modern landscape that respected the house’s historic character and better fit the owners' 21st Century lifestyle.  The fragments of the previous estate were the initial generator of a design that reconnects the existing buildings to their site and knits together chosen former estate remnants to create a unique and relevant experience.
