ATOL is a Belgian architecture office created in 2008 and focusing on mixed-use and cultural programs. We aim at allowing architectural shapes and urban programs to meet and be integrated within our design interventions. While focusing on bringing urban qualities and lifestyle experiences to our projects, we have been taking a fresh look at how urban spaces should evolve when confronted to changing urban densities and population pressures in Asia and around the world.

Through our collaborative approach, programmatic components, whether office, residential, retail, F&B or public and cultural uses are carefully integrated to mutually reinforce each other and maximize both the project efficiency and the quality of the public realm in order to create new urban typologies and design landmarks for the city of tomorrow.

We have been architects in Belgium, Europe and Asia for more than 10 years, while ATOL itself is currently focused on growth in Europe, China and the Asian market.

In 2009, ATOL was commissioned Urban Creek a 450,000 m2 mixed-use project in Beijing which is due to start construction in the second half of 2012. Urban Creek consists in the latest generation vertical mixed-use and its program includes a two auditorium Opera house, five-star hotel, grade A office, retail village, high-end shopping mall and residential tied within a rich network of public pedestrian plazas, parks and streets.

In addition to a very high-level of services, coupled with programmatic and commercial expertise, our Studio is focused on design excellence. We operate in the manner of a boutique design firm with a highly reliable and reactive team of international architects. We are headquartered in Brussels and Shanghai.

2009年，翠社启动了北京“城市溪流”项目的设计工作。这个多功能综合体项目的建筑面积接近450,000平米，预计2012年下半年开工。“城市溪流”是最先进的垂直多功能综合体项目，其业态功能包括一个歌剧院、一个五星级酒店、甲级写字楼、零售村、高档购物中心和住宅。整个项目功能丰富，遍布人行步道、公园和商业街。
