The Rio Remix studio is part of an exhibition series that attempts to envision the future of the Avenida Brasil in Rio de Janeiro. The Avenue is a vital infrastructural connection of the rural outskirts of Rio to the industrial North Zone and the heart of Rio, Centro. My design takes the industrial wasteland of the North Zone and creates both an escape and a destination point along the avenue. Connecting the local neighborhoods to the transit hubs of the city, and adding a much needed park space in the derelict zone.
