Craft in the Digital Age was a furniture design class at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation, or GSAPP.
I challenged the role that craft plays when integrating digital fabrication techniques with traditional woodworking techniques. How the level of craft on the hand built portion must be raised to match the precision of the digital tools.
I created a series of chairs utilizing a CNC plasma cutter, CNC router and traditional analog tools and techniques.
