We received the order of a small pavilion of wardrobes and bathrooms in Villaricos' Fishing Port and after analyzing the port space where is located and to adopt an approach with predominating functional and sustainable criteria, we began to work.
We choose for a cubic and simple geometry, as the nature of the order; consisting of a prismatic piece which a extracted fraction to form the central space of access. The pavilion hardly reaches them 90m2 constructed, and its program consists of Masculine Bathroom (with cabins of water closets, urinary, cabins of showers, wash basins and 1 bathroom adapted for handicapped persons' use), Female Bathroom with a similar structure and a small Store. This symmetry in the program moves to the building, with access to both bathrooms from south-east front.
In the design environmental and energetic saving parameters have been looked for, ventilating the interiors in a natural way, SHW with solar thermal plates, optimizing the natural lighting with hollows in double orientation, temporizing the artificial lighting and the water supply or eliminating the PVC of plumbing and sanitary conductions, among other measures.
Have been used constructive traditional systems with resistant walls of brick and one layer plasters that they stamp the simplicity that is needed and allow perspiration in a humid environment as the port. For the interior partitions it was chosen for phenolic modular screens, which allow the work’s residues reduction
