In the Development & Urban Design Studio instructed by Kristen Hall in the Fall 2021 semester, students were asked to individually propose a development project for an infill site located in the heart of Oakland. Each proposal required to consider the best urban design practices thought in class, the zoning laws, the city’s latests Specific Plan, as well as the significant inequities to mitigate with the help of the built environment. Each student presented in front of a jury composed of industry experts:
