Taken down to the bare studs, this Chelsea bathroom renovation utilized the most out of the small 40 SF footprint. The original 1950's bathroom did not function for the current owner. The tub was removed and a private custom shower with an integrated teak bench, linear drain, tiled light cove and lit niches were created in its place. Even though space is at a premium here, there is a defined distinction between the shower and vanity. The vanity area provides a recessed medicine cabinet with a lit, mirrored face and lit niches to the left of the vanity and above the toilet. All plumbing fixtures are Boffi, the custom wall mounted glass vanity is Scavolini, the tile is Icon by Unicom Starker, and the toilet/washlet are by Toto.
As a freelance Architect/Designer, I led the design and construction from initial concept through completion of construction. I was responsible for fixture and material procurement as well as construction manager.
