I have been working in architecture for 25 years. 6 1/2 of those i spent at Omgivning, working as a project lead on the adaptive reuse of existing and historic structures, including rooftop additions. Another 13 years i worked for Richard Barron (who leads the LA Cultural Heritage Commission) working on affordable and special needs housing, both rehabbing existing buildings, and new construction. Three of those projects won preservation awards from the Los Angeles Conservancy.
The average per capita CO2 emissions of us in the US is 2 ½ times higher than those of our peers in the EU. This is due to the prevalence of suburbia associated high-carbon lifestyle of extensive driving and large homes, in the US. I believe in the city, with its density, walkability and liveliness, both as a better environment for people to live in, and as a way to reduce our carbon footprint. I want to help make the city better and more efficient, and to help solve its affordability problems.
When i'm not in front of a computer, i like to ride a bike, practice yoga, or play guitar.
