    What I learned in school...

Well, my graduation day is approaching... it is exactly 6 days away.. and as time is going by these days, I can only wonder.. What did I learned in school? I have come to the conclussion that pretty much and absolutely ALMOST NOTHING of what I really need in order to work here... unless I want to go overseas and get an intership, that would be great except that it is the biggest of problems just trying to get a visa... but despite that.. I can honestly say that I got some pretty good basic things out of school but nothing really prepares you for the day you gotta take that final walk and step out of your dear school and the safety of your studio workshops... because it is now the real life, and nobody told you how much to charge, nobody taught you how much is this and that and you definitely do not have a little black blook full of all those wonderful engineers and construcion crew ready for the minute you call and say I´ve got work for you..
Anyways, this is in no way a questioning of my vocation or what I want to do, because I´ll deal with these things as they come by and you can always count on other people to help you out.. but it is just one of those things that you cannot help but to wonder as you prepare and make sure your suit is nice and crisp, your graduation dress is hanging there in your room all ready to go.. and you, well, just hope that next thursday you´ll be able to get up from your bed, get in the suit and walk out of school.
Enough with the poetry, I swear it came out of nowhere, but oh well, to all of you who will also graduate, Congrats... and well, not I have to get on with my job quest..

    so long

Viejo, congrats and good luck, right now seems harder than it is...just dont be afraid, echele webos y no le saque.... everything would b fine if u work harder, u learned more than u think at school, u just have to be alert, u will see (still u need to learn the other 90% about "professional life" which is what u didnt learn)

P.S. getting visas and grants and scholarships, is easier than u think, most ppl in Mexico dont apply cause they have the same mentality as u, if u really want it, then try it.... u never know how many options and doors this can open to u

bueno, me voy enough blah blah...saludos

well, that was just a commentary, I don´t have that kind of mentality, I have spent a good portion of my life traveling and studying abroad, I know how easily things can be when you put your mind to them... it was just a weird moment when I was writing...
Haha, just another thing MADianito, you called me viejo, and man am I gettin g a kick of the fact I am a woman, but it´s allright...
I know things will fall into place, at least I am pretty certain of what I will like to do, and I will just have to pave my own way to do it, it´s all about patience, specially in a place like MExico, where a project falls and builds up again in a matter of hours, but isnt the same all over??
I´m over the nostalgy of my gradution, sort of like ready to rumble, y como dices MADianito, no le saco!!!

      saludos
