Montreal-Nord section has been a blank slate of the city. This project brings to light the placelessness that consumes Montreal-Nord and attempts to breathe new life into forgotten spaces to create places that people can identify with. Inspired by shamiana, a tent especially erected for a function or party, our design aids to turn "the unwanted" into "the Spectacular", and fueling interaction within the community by filling, decorating and transforming neglected spaces.
