Avant Wave è un negozio multifunzionale realizzato all’interno di un ex ufficio postale nel centro storico di Cremona. Oltre alla funzione di negozio di moda multimarca, lo store è concepito come uno spazio culturale dove è possibile ritrovarsi, ascoltare musica, esporre e acquistare quadri, foto e film. L’ingresso centrale irradia di luce naturale l’intero ambiente, arredato con espositori in legno a forma di parallelepipedo: “wood boxes”. Il negozio è diviso su due piani di cui uno è un ampio soppalco raggiungibile da una scala a vista. Al piano terra, sul lato destro, gli abiti da uomo sono esposti lungo una parete rivestita in poliuretano espanso (e schiuma verde) chiamata: green wall. Sul lato sinistro invece, il reparto donna è disposto su due livelli divisi da una postazione per DJ. Sulle pareti sono visibili murales, graffiti e quadri realizzati da diversi artisti contemporanei. Sul fondo si trovano gli espositori per gli accessori, la zona relax con divano e sedute, la cassa, la zona di prova, i camerini, i servizi igienici e il magazzino. Salendo al piano soppalcato si giunge al reparto accessori formali e allo spazio espositivo principale, denominato: “scenario”. I ripiani del bookstore e gli stander a forma di cubo richiamano i due volumi sfalsati dove sono collocate le sale di prova. I due cubi creano un gioco di pieni e vuoti che movimenta l’intero piano. Lungo la parete, le calzature, le opere (quadri e fotografie) e i libri esposti si alternano unendosi così in un unico concetto espositivo, dove l’opera d’arte è un tutt’uno col prodotto di moda.
Avant Wave is a multi-concept store built in an ex post office in the center of Cremona, Italy. In addition to the multi-brand fashion shop, the store is designed as a cultural space where you can gather, listen to music, display and purchase paintings, photos and movies. The central entrance of natural light irradiates the entire room, furnished with wooden display parallelepiped-shaped called: "wood boxes." The shop is divided in two floors, one of which is a loft reached by an iron staircase. On the ground floor, on the right side, the men's clothes are displayed along a wall covered with polyurethane green foam call: green wall. On the left hand, the women's department is on two levels separated by a DJ setup corner. On the walls are visible murals, graffiti and paintings made by contemporary artists. On the bottom you will find the exhibitors accessories, sitting area with a large sofa, the chest, the test area, dressing rooms, toilets and storage. Going up to the first floor you reach the formal accessories department and the main exhibition space, called "scenario". The shelves of booksotre and stander cube-shaped recall the two volumes offset where are located the test rooms. The two cubes create a play of solids and voids that moves the entire floor. Along the wall, shoes, the works (paintings and photographs) and books on display alternate joining in a unique exhibition concept, where the union between artistic works and fashion products is the central theme of the project.
