I think (hope!) I speak for everyone when I say how excited our ALLIED Studio (made up of Masters students in the Architecture, Lighting Design and Interior Design programs) is to be collaborating with Harlem School of the Arts this semester as it looks ahead to plan for its next 50 years.
We are now in the midst of the third week of this project and there has already been lots of exciting work that has been produced that we will look forward to share here over the course of the semester. In the meantime, here are some photos of the site from our first visit to the school.

This blog details the semester-long work of the Allied Studio, a cross-disciplinary effort of the MFA programs in Lighting Design, Interior Design, and the Master of Architecture program at the School of Constructed Environments in New York City. For the fall term students are re-visioning the Harlem School of the Arts in Manhattan, a pioneer of childhood education in the fields of music, dance, theater, and the visual arts.
