The Paddington Integrated Project (PIP) was set up to prepare Paddington for the new Crossrail station as well as improvements to London Underground, Network Rail and Transport for London. Weston Williamson and Mott MacDonald were awarded the prestigious role to design this integrated project. .

Consultation with English Heritage and Westminster has informed the design regarding the issues associated with a significant project located partly within the curtilage of Brunel’s Grade 1 Listed Building.  Preservation of the site and setting particularly with the sensitivity of the Grade 1 listed station and response to the Goods Yard and Canal Basin sites were of vital importance.

The project makes extensive use of BIM. Weston Williamson is proud to have won a Bentley Be Inspired Award in 2012 for the use of the integrated use. The new London Underground Station achieved Building in Use station in June 2012.

In 2015 the project was awarded RIBA London Regional Award.
