This proposed structure serves as a temporary housing shelter for just some of the 200,000 Serbs that fled and were displaced from Kosovo during a 1999 war conflict in that region. The prefabricated typology that forms the structure and the living capsules are constructed in such a fashion that they could be assembled quickly and easily in response to the volume of people that would be housed within a particular area. By assembling structures outside of the city the and building along the Danube and Sava river bank, the housing project avoids creating and adding to the density within the city of Belgrade.

This project is to serve as both a temporary structure for the region and as a proposal that could be adapted climatically and regionally to any part of the world to deal with issues such as the displacement of people, temporary housing, and cheap and efficient housing for the places that have large poor populations. 

Along with meeting the needs of housing the design incorporates amechanical system; A water treatment system bellow the living quarters takes and treats contaminated water directly from the Danube. Once the water is treated and filtered it is stored into tanks bellow the structure which is then used by each capsule unit as house hold water for everything within the home other the human consumption. The primary structural shell allows for a variation of materials and skins, such as attaching photovoltaic panels or desired vegetation.
