This project explores the potential for systems to pro-duce both emergent order and complexity at a variety of scales through the controlled introduction of marginal variation. Experimenting with the idea of a template capable of incremental difference in the production of modular units, a field of complex surface conditions is produced out of orderly geometric aggregation.
