Half graphic novel and half promotional material, this narrative tries to negotiate the territory in design between the leftist critique of spectacle in contemporary global corporatism and the value of experience and phenomenology possible in aesthetic culture. Originally produced in the form of a 12 minute animated movie, it follows the trajectory of a space journey facilitated by a space elevator to the limits of habitability near the sun. Rather than take a position or a bifurcated view of the issues the simultaneity that exists within the act of design is explored in its own messiness.
