Lifeguard Tower Project

My very first project I built, out of foam board, The Lifeguard Tower Project was regarded as a design for 2 lifeguards on duty and a first aide area A few influences that aided in the design of the building were basic structure, an unobstructed 360 degree view, and a maximum height of 20 feet. It was a space that would allow the lifeguard to observe the beach scene and also be able to be shaded from the sun during the long, hot summer days. I decided I wouldn't do a traditional shape and would "push the envelop" in its design. It was all hand-drawn, at 1/2"=1'-0 scale, on a sheet of paper. From the drawings, I would have to product a 3D model for visual and tactile representation.
