This shimmering blue hotel tower reflects the motion + colors of the nearby Detroit River. Four glass types in reflective blue hues were used for the building’s skin + designed to change with light + weather. The natural movement creates an animated, effervescent  display against the Detroit skyline. The opulent interior design suggests Greek elements, such as molded plaster walls that drape like a toga. Both casino + hotel are punctuated with hospitality via a variety of clubs + restaurants.The tactile brick base at street level ties in with the context of the surrounding historic neighborhood.
