A simple experiment using heat guns and compact discs. Two main factors throughout this study- heat and polycarbonate, are the materials from which COMPACT DISC are made. We studied the effect of heat on polycarbonate sheets of varying thicknesses, noted the time taken for melting and the nature of the material while it melts.

GENERATIVE DESIGN & MATERIAL RESEARCH gave an outcome which is the driving force to this design proposal. This methodology of research has led to a system which has a further scope for development in the field of architecture and design.
