Chapel

The increase of believers who go on a pilgrimage to the convent of “Las Carmelitas Descalzas” to hear the trade, requires the creation of a chapel at the current convent’s surroundings to house all the faithful. The chapel is on the way to the convent, on a sloping site that allows that most of the chapel is hidden from view without disrupting pilgrim views of the landscape.
Only the eliptical screens embracing the pilgrim are visible and invites you to enter through a staircase that opens into the pond.
A courtyard plays lobby and a meeting point of the parishioners.
Inside, the main room, lit by skylights that introduce natural light on the side panels, as well as by a large cloth oriented north, which introduces a constant and diffuse light during the day.
