Exploded Axonometrics were used to illustrate Toyo Ito’s Tod’s Omotesando Building in Tokyo Japan. As part of a façade study, this project required researching the construction of an existing building and re-creating that structure. As well as showing the existing building, exploded axos were also used to show the method for modeling a scale replica. A reinforced concrete cast is presently underway, using acetate-lined form work to create an ultra-smooth surface.
