Municipal Swimming Pool of Arrentela

The proposed project is inserted in an urban plan designed for Arrentela (Seixal), in which their relationship is demarcated with the river Tejo through a past strongly connected to
the fluvial transport of goods.
With the proposed plan, solutions are created for the wastelands and for the connection of some neighbourhoods that previously appeared isolated from the surrounding.

In the proposed urban parks, buildings arise intended for public use, with the aim of contributing to leisure and training. Therefore, this is the most appropriate place to design a
municipal swimming pool, also due to the absence of this equipment in the area and the strong bond between Arrentela and the river.

The building emerges with its paths oriented towards the river, with the purpose of having its entrance near the busiest street and taking advantage of the slope we find in the terrain.
Taking advantage of this slope, the project is inserted on the terrain in order to take a discreet appearance, and offering points of view of the river, both in public access areas and in reserved areas for the swimmers.

It is based on the integration on the terrain, the views and the proximity to the river that the project guidelines are established.
