LEVER Architecture is a full service planning and design firm based in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2009 by Thomas Robinson, the firm builds on Thomas’ twenty years of experience designing buildings and places that connect art, education and creative work. LEVER Architecture’s work includes institutional, academic, and creative office projects for prominent institutions and organizations in Oregon and nationally. Clients include the Princeton University Museum of Art, The Pacific Northwest College of Art, Pixar Animation, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Walt Disney Company.
Our success is founded on listening to our client’s needs and aspirations, communicating what we find through accessible diagrams and, leveraging that understanding to create transformative buildings that connect people, place, and the natural landscape. For us, architecture is a “lever” or tool that serves the clients needs and vision. It is not an end in itself but a hinge or fulcrum that, when used intelligently, can have a transformative impact to allow for the easy shifting of energy, ideas, and thoughts in spaces that connect people to each other and the landscape.
