Professor Bitz was my Design Studio 1 instructor, and also taught our year's Theory 1 course. You put it well Jacob--foremost an incredible person, and a fantastic teacher as well. Her kindness and compassion helped me through a personal tragedy during my first semester at UF. She is held in the highest regard by her students, and will be missed.

That sucks. She has been a fixture at UF forever. I had her for both of the history survey courses. Was she still actively teaching in recent years?
