About

Ultimately my goal is a position to influence design process which demonstrate cost savings and timeline/delivery efficiencies. In short, a position to refine and focus production on what matters in AEC. BIM is the best path we have to rewrite the rules for tighter tolerances to bypass industry stagnation.

I started early programming computers in 1984. I Attended MSU S/ARC(accredited) where I started AutoCAD in 1994. By 1996 I started using the predecessor to AutoCAD Architecture(ACA) - Soft Desk to put 3D plans and integrated callous to sets together, then moved to ACA around 2000. In 1998 I turned professional using AutoCAD for production while working on my IDP. I learned the intricacies of buildings, systems, mechanical systems and their envelopes. By 2006 I started Revit and byv2009 I was a BIM manager with my own PXPs running full discipline coordination and management.

Participation and review is essential to collect, reshape and hone the production process to a fluid & uniform state. Anyone should be able to identify where they are in the project process to jump in on any adjacent project with minimal startup time. Centralized libraries allow for consistent managed data and lightweight templates. Allowing content to recycle and evolving enriches data through knowledgeable contributors, QAQC, PM and Principal input to inform future projects.

My philosophies is derived from multiple resources including Architecture, Construction, Computer Science, Programming, IT, music, and Art. This eclecticism traces threads of data in rhythms and flows to cross-access platforms like AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, VR and other technologies to provide opportunities for expression and communication.

My Architectural perspective is broad- ranging from one-man operations to massive groups like HKS, Atkins, WATG, and AECOM; each unique experience sharpened direction and insights to a wide range of applications and processes.

My Architectural Project experience ranges from small (residential) to Large (Mall/ hospitality/ Industrial) including single/multi-family, commercial, military, US Veterans Administration (104M), healthcare (600M+), hospitality(750M), themed projects(1.2B+), Industrial (60M+) and entertainment (30M-120M).

Thank you for taking time to read about me and I hope to learn more about you and your company.
