Located in the Meatpacking District between Hudson and Washington Streets, 60 Gansevoort is a high-end retail destination. Gansevoort Street acts as transition from the retail district to the High Line Park.
Comprised of men’s and women’s sportswear and accessories,60 Gansveoort features an espresso bar and rooftop lounge.
The building was designed with a strong consideration of three elements: the envelope, the interior architecture and display. Working with the views of the High Line, a radial grid was developed and manipulated, dictating the placement of interior walls and skylights. In transit from the park to the neighborhood and back, the views adapt allowing pedestrians to take in the storefront from a number radial vantage points.
The understated palette, consisting of concrete, blackened steel, Japanese oak and weathered brick, allows the products to remain front and center.
