The Path We Grew is an exhibition design project with the approach of adaptive reuse thinking.The location of the exhibition is in mystic city in connecticut. The exhibition happens in the stillman building and it's about how food connects African American culture and Native American culture in New England area. The design idea of this building is to use the metaphor of "The growing path of a crop" to indicate all the difficulties that these two cultures came through, and witness all the efforts that they made together to finally build a harmonious community that they live. The way of showcasing the food growing path is divided into 6 sections: Sowing, Irrigation, weeding, harvesting, storing and celebration. All of the 6 sections are reflected into my design correspondingly.
