An absolutely minimal and functional design was envisioned in keeping with the client’s personality. As an artist’s abode, the space was planned to resonate the free spirit of her imagination. Boundaries were absolved, bringing in unobstructed views of the surrounding vistas. Internal barriers were broken down and volumes were magnified to allow the outside into the house, giving the space a superfluous quality.In a drastic play of proportion, providing floor to ceiling glazing panels allowed for soft north light to fill in the space making it an illimitable experience. A neutral color palate with dark wood, black slate floor, beige walls, and stainless steel was integrated to offset the artists colorful expressions. A no mess, no fuss open layout was planned concealing all services and appliances under counters giving the apartment a sophisticated and contemporary edge.
