West of West is an architecture and design studio that creates buildings, objects, and spaces to change the way you experience the world. The name is inspired by an explorative spirit that drives us to seek out and find new territories of design. To us, each project is an opportunity to build a new reality and create something spectacular.
Our services include envisioning and implementing unique solutions for design issues at all scales. We pride ourselves in our ability to engage the social, economic, and environmental conditions of every project while balancing function, beauty, and opportunity. Currently, the practice is focused on residential, commercial, and cultural projects in multiple cities across the U.S.
Led by founders Clayton Taylor and Jai Kumaran, the practice has operated since 2010 and is currently located in Portland and Los Angeles.
