This studio project is both a housing project and an urban intervention. It focuses on the contemporary urban condition. Specifically, it studies the relationship between urban form, land, building use, transportation, and environment. It is situated in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The design of this residential complex attempts to redefine social and communal living spaces in big cities. It is composed of 10-level towers that connect each other at different points of the buildings by means of ramps, bridges, shared amenity spaces and terraces, and a public greenhouse situated in the core of the complex. The experience is one that encourages neighbors into collective engagement, while creating a sportive equilibrium between private and public spaces.
