New York, NY
Context/Program- a partial floor office for a Documentary Film not-for-profit in Dumbo, Brooklyn that could offer a positive work environment while being fashioned from a minimal work-letter budget.
The idea of the office plan was to make it urban, where individual departments have their own areas and are separated by streets. Views cut through the offices to the perimeter windows. The wall of Emmy awards dominates the entrance.
A second project added a screening room, where once again the constraints of cost lead to the invention of an arresting aesthetic. The need to insulate for sound allowed for the generation of a pattern using homosote and polypropylene bead panels.
