Across from the Socrates Sculpture Park and the East River waterfront the 53-unit building occupies a prominent street corner. The design explores the dynamic of folded facades and angular cantilevered floor slabs. Despite very restrictive zoning rules the building interacts in a textured way with its surrounding, reflecting the spirit of the close by sculpture park.
