Mount Sinai Ansonia

Located on the second floor of the landmarked Ansonia Building, one of the most iconic Beaux Arts buildings in New York City and a symbol of luxury, Mount Sinai Health System’s new clinic provides a grand setting for its signature leading-edge care.

Inspired by the Beaux Arts building’s interiors, the design of the clinic is sleek and contemporary, featuring a black and white palette with brass accents. The aesthetic both evokes the building’s past and expresses the state-of-the-art care the facility provides.

The layout takes advantage of the building’s unique features including street courts and round corner bays. The focal area is a long grand reception space, similar to the original public corridors in the Ansonia. The dermatology waiting area, located in one of the unique corner turrets, adds an especially luxurious touch. The design accomplishes Mount Sinai’s goal to provide an efficient and easy patient and staff experience. Outside of exam rooms, there are separate “flowstations” where caregivers collaborate and prepare for patient visits.
