The permanent exhibition "Tennis in Cuneo since 1928" offers a unique
opportunity to delve into the fascinating history of tennis, bridging
the past, present, and future in an engaging experience. Located at
Cuneo's Sports Palace, this exhibition celebrates the rich tennis
tradition through a selection of wooden rackets donated to the CRC
Foundation from Collector Sergio Parola. The project was promoted by the
Municipality of Cuneo and the CRC Foundation.
The exhibition stands
out for its warm and welcoming environment, where the color of the red
clay tennis courts dominates the interior of the showcase, enveloping
visitors in an authentic and engaging atmosphere. The wooden rackets,
carefully arranged along the back wall of the showcase, stand out
against a backdrop reminiscent of the characteristic red clay of tennis
courts, creating a tangible connection to the deep roots of tennis. Each
racket, with its intricate details and stories filled with passion and
dedication, harmoniously blends with the surrounding environment,
conveying the authentic essence of tennis practiced according to ancient
traditions.
At the center of the exhibition space, a white
three-dimensional structure captures visitors'attention, echoing the
distinctive lines and proportions of a tennis court in an artistic and
innovative representation. This unique architectural element adds depth
and dynamism to the environment.
The texts displayed as window decals were written by Franco Alciati, writer and president of the Tennis Collectors Association.
Through
this combination of visual and historical elements, the "Tennis in
Cuneo since 1928" exhibition offers a unique perspective on the tennis
tradition, celebrating its history, culture, and lasting impact.
