this san francisco home is referenced in the field guide to american houses and represents a strong example of a eclectic home in the tudor style, built in 1909 with a beautiful false thatched roof. the original owner was said to own the first car in san francisco. this project required lots of planning to delicately upgrade the building systems, improving quality of spaces, upgrading the efficiency of the building envelope, adding storage, adding and expanding several small additions, rebuilding a few non-period additions, water capture, a future pool, improving the structure of the building, as well as hundreds of improvements, updates, additions , details, that were meant to disappear into the period correct building. we improved safety, security, fireproofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting systems .
