Smith & Sauer has designed a new art gallery project near Industry City, Brooklyn.  The project is an approximately 13,000 square foot gut renovation of an existing 2-1/2 story manufacturing building.  The project features art gallery and exhibition spaces on the first floor that will double as flexible event spaces. Existing masonry openings will feature new folding glass doors to allow for maximum transparency and flexibility in loading access.  A large central shaft penetrates the entire building to allow for dynamic natural lighting within the main event space.  The second floor has been reconfigured to feature a ring of working art studios.
