Though cities provide many beneficial aspects and are aiding in the advancement of our society; they are complex, challenging and at certain times overwhelming.   The inherent characteristics of a city, in addition to the personal stresses that individuals deal with on a daily basis create serious negative impacts for an individual’s mental wellness.  Therefor, this projects seeks to create a place of escape and refuge within the chaos of an urban center.  Through the creation of spaces which fosters an individual’s education, reflection, healing and rehabilitation against the heightened stresses of urban living, individuals can not only discover how their city affects their health, but are provided with the places, means and methods to manage these effects.
