This project revitalizes the neglected historical site under the modern development of Xi’an City, through both planning and architectural design. It juxtaposes four sites with each representing a significant time period. The architecture performs as an activator, providing space for research, exhibition, local concert, etc.
The history of being capital city of Han dynasty left Xi’an rich legacy of valuable sites. Thousands of years went by, the original city went through declination, desolation, and now its ready for resuscitation.
