The concept: Separation.  Take each element of a home and isolate them using shipping containers.  I took the kitchen and gave it a home within a home.  I dedicated an entire container for the bathrooms as well as the living container and bedroom containers.  The placement of these containers defines the perimeter of the home and creates a center communal courtyard.
