The objective was to design a shelter and outreach center for victims of violence as a result of domestic abuse or human trafficking.

After studying ideas of disconnect and barriers, the goal of the project became to design a shelter that provided the victims with a sense of both security as well as freedom. The outreach space is very fragile and transparent, while the sanctuaries are draped in a covering which symbolizes safety, healing and progress. the upper level allows the victims a space of tranquility,, serenity and security to help them overcome and move forward from the burdened lives they left.
