About

Originally from Princeton, New Jersey, I have lived in New York City since 2012, moving here directly after completing my studies at the Rhode Island School of Design.  In my free time I enjoy travel, exploring the NY food scene, and the theatre.

I am currently employed at Ben Herzog Architect, PC, a small firm in Brooklyn specializing in townhouse renovations, as a Project Architect., where I have led nine projects from schematic design through construction, interacting directly with clients, contractors, engineers and  consultants.  I have produced and coordinated complete construction sets and permit sets for NYC Department of Buildings and Landmarks Preservation Commission review, and am very familiar with the filing process, residential building codes and ADA requirements.  I have confidently led design presentations with clients, bidding negotiations and regular site meetings with contractors.  I have also managed the firm's instagram for the past five years, and directed and styled many photoshoots.

Though I love traditional residential interiors, I would love to work at a different scale and learn about other building typologies and construction methods.  I am a team player and an independent worker; I work most effectively when I have a lot of different tasks to complete.  In addition and perhaps most importantly, I am a creative person with an artistic eye (and hand) and love to exercise that capacity in all areas of design.

Prior to my employment at Ben Herzog Architect I worked as a graphic designer at C&G Partners LLC, a multi-disciplinary graphic design firm where my projects mostly encompassed the design of exhibits, signage and wayfinding maps which you can see on my website.  I've also worked a great deal as a scenic carpenter and props designer at various small theaters in and around New York; I am always looking for new opportunities to exercise my design muscle.
