OAKLAND HILLS RESIDENTIAL ADDITION

The owners of this multi-level home in the Oakland hills needed additional living space and a new elevated garage at the street. We used concrete and steel deck pan for the parking area exposed to weather, and concrete topping slab over wood framing where the slab was protected by the new roof. A retaining wall carved out the new living space connected to the rest of the house and a protected garden / patio area below.

We often use schematic elevations of shear wall layouts when the walls stack. This makes the relationships of the elements clear to the builders and helps us when we're performing filed observations.
