A project to develop a prototype for a self-assembly plywood studio kit for homeworkers and creatives made using CNC fabrication techniques. Easily assembled by two people, it is affordable, thermally efficient and complies with permitted development. Designed from plywood sheet alone, creating simple modular repetitive structural panels for walls, floors and roof, which allow for future extension, alteration or relocation. It requires no additional structural support above ground, and is designed with no structural redundancy; the plywood acting as structure, building envelope and internal finish. Fabricated and assembled during one week by the staff at Rural Office for Architecture.
