A replacement barn on the architect’s farmstead currently functioning as a temporary home. Its modular frame allows for future flexibility. Built at a scale that feels both agricultural and domestic, with a material palette devised from practical economy, it is carefully detailed to give it elegance and style.
RSAW Small Project of the Year Award 2014:
“I have often been told that good design is about solving a number of different issues with one detail – New Barn is a great example of this ... the compact interior only serves to show how well thought through every element of the design is.”
