This coffee table, commissioned for an apartment in NYC, is made from recycled, 100 year old heart pine joists which were harvested from a three story renovation site in New Orleans. The concept of the table seeks to highlight the primitive rectangular form against the angled steel base. The top was finished with a Danish oil to bring out the natural tones of the wood and the steel was finished with a rust resistant spray paint.
