To preserve the historical significance of the closed Venice Post Office, my design adapts and reuses the vacate building to be able to still exist within the community while serving a new function. The scheme developed strives to reinvigorate the space for the future with increases pedestrian movement and a relevant program while simultaneously harkening back to the past. This plaza will become the new landmark of Venice connect the old with the new.
