The design developed was a hanging tensile structure that would transform the outdoor space of the MoCA Shanghai Cafe. The movement of the structure was coordinated with a shrink-wrapped landscape condition that merged into the downward rings and subdivided the terrace space. Our eight member team constructed the project on the terrace in one week's time using local materials.
