I was asked by the client to design the renovation of their kitchen.  After reviewing their needs and the available space in their historic house I advised them that in order to obtain what they wanted they would need to extend the kitchen, located in a later shed addition at the rear, another 6 feet.  Another parameter of the project was that they bought a set of high quality cabinets that were removed from another house, along with a horizontal window they wanted to locate in at the kitchen sink.  I was able to take the cabinets they bought and plan them into a functional new kitchen fitting into the modestly expanded kitchen, and was able to use the window in the new wall of the shed to provide the view over their back yard and park beyond.
