Recently I completed a gut bathroom renovation for a neighbor’s one bedroom loft coop. We worked together to determine the owner’s vision for a more spacious 5’-6” by 7’-4” bathroom with a 7’-0” ceiling and with a modern aesthetic and as much storage as possible. I looked for and found opportunities in every corner. The result gave them more privacy, more light, a feeling of a larger space as well as both more and a variety of storage without significant increasing the bathroom’s footprint. We also overcame the building’s original conversions’ poor structural decisions successfully. Not all loved ideas were utilized as we were all determined to create something that was loved and cost effective.
